Job summary

Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT seeks an NP or PA in Structural Heart Cardiology. You will see new patients, monitor pre/post operative inpatients, and manage routine visits across clinic and hospital settings. The role is full time with a schedule of 4-10 hour shifts and weekend rotations.

NP or PA Structural Heart Cardiology - Murray, UT

About this role

As an APP, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work closely with the physicians and with their oversight, be responsible for seeing new patients, monitoring post and pre operative inpatients and routine visit patients in a clinic and hospital setting at Intermountain Medical Center. This APP position is full time.

Clinic hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The APP will be working 4- 10 hour shifts per week between the clinic and hospital. In addition, will rotate weekends to consult and round on structural heart patients within the hospital.

In addition:

  • Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as: Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
  • Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
  • Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
  • Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
  • Consultation with other healthcare providers;
  • Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
  • Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

What you’ll bring
  • Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting
  • New grads can be considered with previous cardiology experience or cardiology rotations
