Job summary

Qualifications

  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program.
  • 1–2 years of oncology or hospice/palliative care experience, or new grads with oncology nursing background.
  • Active Utah medical license with prescriptive authority and DEA, or ability to obtain.
  • RMP license and successful credentialing with Intermountain Health.

About this role

As a Supportive Oncology APP you will collaborate closely with Oncology, Hospice, and Palliative Care physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver patient-centered care focused on goals-of-care discussions, symptom management, and care coordination.

Key responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
  • Performing physical examinations
  • Helping patients and families navigate complex medical decisions and transitions of care
  • Ensuring a seamless, compassionate, and supportive experience throughout the patient’s healthcare journey while promoting quality of life and aligning care with each patient’s values and preferences
Location and compensation

Practice primarily at McKay Dee Cancer Center with occasional coverage in Layton

Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

This position includes up to $7,500 in relocation assistance, if applicable

  • Hourly rate: $57.33 - $88.47, based on experience

What you’ll bring
  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
  • 1-2 years of experience in Oncology or Hospice and Palliative Care, or new graduates with a nursing background in Oncology or Hospice and Palliative Care
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or ability to obtain one
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or ability to obtain one
  • Recommending Medical Provider (RMP) license
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
