Job summary

A nonprofit health system is seeking a certified Advanced Practice Provider to join its Neurology practice in Destin, Florida. This full-time position involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, obtaining patient histories, and counseling patients and families. Candidates must have a valid Physician Assistant credential and BLS certification. How you’ll make an impact in this role

Ascension Sacred Heart is looking for a certified APP (will consider both NP and PA candidates) to join our neurology practice in Destin, FL.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate to join a respected practice at the region's comprehensive stroke center.

Position Highlights

• Clinic only, with some inpatient rounding (follow-ups)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtain patient history and performs assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Florida Physician Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
