Job summary

Ascension Health, a leading nonprofit Catholic health system, seeks an experienced NP/PA to join Ascension St. Vincent's Clay County in Middleburg, FL as an inpatient neurology provider.

You’ll deliver comprehensive inpatient neurological care for hospitalized patients and work with a physician team to manage acute neurologic conditions. Qualifications include Florida PA licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS provider within 30 days of hire.
• Florida PA license required.
• ACLS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care for hospitalized patients with acute neurologic conditions.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of neurologic disorders including stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, movement disorders and other acute presentations.

• Join an established team of 3 physicians and 1 PA

• Shift structure: 7 on/7 off

• Practice setting: inpatient

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care for hospitalized patients with acute and complex neurologic conditions

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of neurologic disorders including stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, movement disorders, and other acute presentations

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Florida Physician Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
