Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle, TX, seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient neurology team. You'll deliver inpatient neurology consultation services across ED, ICU, and medical/surgical units and manage acute neurological emergencies with a collaborative, compassionate approach.

Required: Texas NP licensure, RN license, Master's in Nursing and BLS; 2+ years in Neurology APP preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
• Texas Board of Nursing NP licensure required prior to hire.
• Texas Board of Nursing RN licensure required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient neurology consultation services across ED, ICU and medical/surgical units.
• Manage acute neurological emergencies including stroke and seizures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary referrals and educate patients and families.
• Support continuity of care with robust care coordination through the health system.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 2 years of Neurology APP experience.
