Zusammenfassung

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Medical Oncology to manage hematology/oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The APRN will conduct rounds for chemotherapy patients in the infusion center and assist with consults as needed.

The role offers a day shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with occasional coverage of other shifts to meet patient needs.

Qualifikationen

• Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field.
• Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.
• BLS certification required.

About the job:

The APRN - NP Specialty provides acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

This APRN will manage the care of hematology and oncology patients. They will see both inpatient consults as well as patients in clinic and round on patients receiving chemo in the outpatient infusion center.

The primary shift will be Day, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional need to cover other shifts.

What you need:

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred
• Physician Assistant will be considered as well
• BLS provider certification required
• ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments
• Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required
• All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years recent and relevant APP experience in oncology
• Effective Communication Skills
