Mount Carmel in Columbus, Ohio seeks an APRN - NP Specialty to provide primary or acute care for specialty health conditions in Neurology. A Physician Assistant may be considered in lieu of the APRN.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science, Nursing or a specialty field and graduation from an Advanced Practitioner program.

• DEA license or eligibility to obtain for controlled substances.
• Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred.

Position Purpose

The APRN - NP Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in Neurology in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. We will consider a Physician Assistant as well.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred
• BLS provider certification required
• ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments (see Exhibit A)
• Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required
• All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred
