Mount Carmel, a Trinity Health facility in Central Ohio, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Medical Oncology to provide acute care for hematology/oncology patients. The APRN will manage inpatient consults, clinic patients, and round on chemo patients in the outpatient infusion center.

Day shift, Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with occasional coverage; requires master's degree, Ohio RN license, ANCC APN certification, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS, DEA license, and 2–3 years oncology APP

Qualifikationen

• Masters required in Science, Nursing or related specialty.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio.
• Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty; ANCC preferred.
• Physician Assistant will be considered as well.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments.
• DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain.
• All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 2-3 years oncology APP experience.

About the job:

The APRN - NP Specialty provides acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

This APRN will manage the care of hematology and oncology patients. They will see both inpatient consults as well as patients in clinic and round on patients receiving chemo in the outpatient infusion center.

The primary shift will be Day, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional need to cover other shifts.

What you need:

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred
• Physician Assistant will be considered as well
• BLS provider certification required
• ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments
• Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required
• All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years recent and relevant APP experience in oncology
• Effective Communication Skills
