Job summary

UH Tr iPoint Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the ICU team. The schedule features 12-hour shifts with rotating days, nights, weekends and holidays, and eligibility for the night shift premium program.

New grads will be considered for the New Grad Training Program. The NP will perform patient assessments, establish plans of care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in accordance with Ohio nursing board standards and UH bylaws.

  • Collaborates with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family (5%)
  • Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self (5%)
  • Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management (5%)
  • Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism (5%)
  • Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review (5%)

Job description

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join theICU team at UH Tr iPoint Medical Center. The schedule is 12 hr. shifts rotating days, nights (eligible for the night shift premium program), weekends and holidays. Nurse practitioners must be ACNP and new grads will be considered for the New Grad Training Program.

A Brief Overview

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a Nurse Practitioner as specified by the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
