Parkland Health and Hospital System seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality care in a designated primary or specialty area. The role emphasizes leadership, education, and collaboration with physicians and trainees to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

The position requires PA or APRN licensure in Texas, BLS, and 3+ years of APP experience in a similar setting or 5+ years in any APP field. Collaboration with PHHS leadership and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• PA or APRN education required as specified by ARC-PA/CCNE/ACEN accreditation
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required from AHA/ARC/ Military Training Network
• Current Texas licensure and national certification for PA or APRN roles
• Experience: 3+ years APP experience in similar duties OR 5+ years in any APP field
• Active licensure and certification as applicable to NP/PA practice

Responsabilités

• Perform clinical practitioner services in designated specialty area including history taking, exams, assessments and plan of care.
• Record health information clearly and efficiently; manage time to optimize patient and provider resources.
• Educate patients and families for self-management and follow-up; arrange appropriate follow-up appointments.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate APP students, residents and other trainees; act as a clinical resource.
• Stay current with practice developments; participate in education activities and QA/QI projects.
• Collaborate with PHHS staff to promote patient-centered care and positive service experiences.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and program policies; keep licensure and certifications up to date.
• Identify workflow improvements and participate in department goals; contribute to committees as needed.
• Support PHHS mission and participate in collaborative learning and community outreach as appropriate.
