Job summary

Parkland Health in Texas is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive patient care in designated primary or specialty areas. The role includes diagnosing, treating, educating, and referring patients, while serving as a resource and role model for clinical practice and staff development.

Applicants must hold a valid Texas PA or APRN license, NCCPA certification for PA, and ACLS with ongoing maintenance; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Physician Assistant licensure for TX or current APRN licensure with TX authority.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical practitioner duties in designated specialty area, including histories, exams, assessments and orders.
• Documents health history, findings, treatment and recommendations clearly and concisely; manages time effectively.
• Educates patients and families to ensure self-management, follow‑up, and adherence to care plans.
• Supports interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality care and positive health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Maintains current professional certifications and licensure; participates in PHHS education activities.
