Job summary

American Family Care Omaha is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training and agreed protocols. You will work collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction.

Duties and benefits vary by franchise. The role includes performing health histories, developing assessments, ordering labs and imaging, and providing patient care, education, and referrals.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories and review patient records.
• Develop comprehensive medical assessments and order labs, radiology, and diagnostics.
• Institute therapy or referrals to appropriate facilities or resources.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health promotion to patients and families.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
