SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO is seeking a PRN/Fill-In Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a Cardiac Surgery service.

The role includes OR first assisting with EVH and clinic duties, with compensation based on experience and malpractice coverage but without additional benefits. Candidates should have two years of APP experience in cardiac surgery and possess RNFA or PA certification.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Competent in OR First Assist role, EVH, ECMO cannulation/de-cannulation.
• Perform comprehensive patient consultation and documentation, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Perform bedside procedures such as chest tube placement/removal and central/arterial line placement.
• Evaluate and manage patients with appropriate clinic documentation, showing leadership and strong communication.

SSM Health-SLUCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a PRN/Fill-Inrole to support our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, known for leading-edge care and groundbreaking research. This position will involve first assisting in the O.R., including endoscopic vein harvesting, as well as clinic. A competitive hourly rate will be offered based on experience as well as malpractice coverage but no other benefits.

Qualifications:

• Seeking candidates in the local St. Louis area or within driving distance.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experienceasan APP in Cardiac Surgery including Surgical First Assisting and competency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH).
• Seeking Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification or Certified Physician Assistant.

The Opportunity:
