Job summary

Penn Medicine Washington Square practice is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our general surgery team. The APP will support one primary surgical attending and two additional attendings as needed, seeing general surgery and bariatric patients alongside the attending and also practicing independently.

Primary shift is 8-5pm, Monday-Friday with one day remote. Credentialing through the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center and a Collaborative Practice Agreement are required, with

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR required for ambulatory providers.
• Board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• PA-C/NP licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Prescriptive Authority required.
• RN licensure in PA and NJ preferred.
• MSN or related degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care per established protocols in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in the EHR.
• Perform interventions within scope and refer to the collaborating physician as needed.
• Support accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities.
• Precept NP students and other health care learners.
• Identify patient/family needs and arrange community resources.
