Job summary

Advocate Health in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomist II to receive orders, collect blood from patients of all ages, and prepare specimens for Floyd lab or outside processing. You will keep the lab running efficiently and perform procedures with quality control.

This role requires at least one year of phlebotomy experience, completion of a formal phlebotomy program, and ASCP certification or equivalent. You will follow safety rules and assist the lab team to ensure timely specimen collection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of departmental clinical evaluation checklist.

Responsibilities

• Consistently obtain high-quality specimens by venipuncture.
• Perform capillary collections and blood cultures when required.
• Establish positive patient identification for all draws.
• Label specimens accurately and log times in the lab system.
• Maintain a clean, stocked phlebotomy area and follow QA standards.
• Adhere to OSHA and other regulations; assist lab staff as needed.
