Job summary

Ascension seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient operations at Seton Medical Center Austin. The role involves preparing, compounding, and distributing specialty meds, while ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.

You will manage inventory and automated dispensing systems, act as a patient advocate, and assist with prior authorization and financial aid to expedite access. Collaboration with the care team to educate patients and monitor regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required, internship acceptable.
• Education includes High School diploma or Associate's degree; or 4 years of related experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy intern would be acceptable in lieu of.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• IV/Sterile Compounding Certification
• Inpatient Hospital Experience
