Job summary

Research Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician for the Float Pool. Under RN supervision, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

Responsibilities include observing changes, assisting with ADLs, phlebotomy, telemetry, IV removal, wound care, and helping with lab collection and clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team.
• Help patients with ADLs such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
• Assist with lab sample collection and clerical tasks to keep care running smoothly.
• Anticipate patient needs and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
