Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a Licensed Paramedic to join its Emergency Department team. You will assist physicians and nurses, apply splints and dressings, transport patients, perform venipuncture, monitor vital signs, and help ensure safe, efficient patient care at all times.

Required credentials include PARA license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; an Associate degree is preferred. The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards in a high‑volume

Qualifications

Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant areas.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals.
Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated customer service with a patient-centric approach.
Must read, write, speak English well.
Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

Apply slings, splints, and dressings with proper competencies.
Transport unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and assist with transfers.
Assist physicians or RNs with procedures and exams.
Conduct hourly rounding and ensure patient comfort needs are met.
Observe and document infusion site status and IV management.
Perform venipuncture and setup IV/IO access as needed.
Initiate oxygen therapy and monitor cardiac status.
Maintain safe patient care and adhere to isolation guidelines.
