Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando in Florida is seeking a highly capable Paramedic to support emergency department operations. The role involves direct patient care, IV access, venipuncture, and assisting with procedures under physician or RN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient transport, monitoring, and ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining compliance with ED protocols and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical competency in relevant areas (Required).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (Required).
• Ability to deal efficiently with a wide variety of individuals (Required).
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations (Required).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assists physician or RN with procedures and exams, including setup and cleanup for sutures and casting.
• Transports unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and stable monitored patients to units as needed.
• Performs venipuncture and IV insertion with or without POCUS guidance.
• Monitors infusion sites, administers oxygen, and initiates monitoring as directed.
• Maintains patient care, communicates with patients about care plans and waits times.
