Job summary

Texas Oncology in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Medical Oncology team. This full-time on-site role supports patient care across outpatient/inpatient settings, working closely with physicians and the care team.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSN, NP or PA credentials with required licensure, BLS/CPR, and relevant experience levels; opportunities include professional development and LTIP eligibility.

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• RN licensure and current registration in practicing state.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification.
• Physician Assistant program completion and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct care and management in outpatient/inpatient/surgical settings, including visits, education, orders and reviewing diagnostics, prescribing medications, symptom management, and referrals.
• Collaborate with practice physicians and care teams.
• Proficient use of Electronic Health Record with complete documentation per policy.
• Build strong collaborative relationships across the organization and local medical community.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
• Participate in tumor board, institutional trainings and meetings.
