Job summary

The Laboratory Technologist III at MUSC drives advanced molecular research, developing ctDNA-based assays and performing high-complexity experiments. You will work under the PI and lab supervisor, ensuring safety, compliance, and data quality across projects.

Responsibilities include ddPCR and NGS workflows, data analysis, and collaboration with investigators. Prioritize documentation, reporting, and scalable lab practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in medical technology, microbiology, biochemistry or related field.
• 3+ years in a clinical or research lab environment.
• Experience with ddPCR, NGS and molecular assay platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-complexity molecular experiments for ctDNA assay development.
• Document experiments in approved notebooks and update analyses.
• Support regulatory and safety policies and data integrity standards.
• Generate project progress reports and collaborate with investigators.
• Assist with purchasing, inventory, and lab workflow optimization.
• Provide technical guidance to researchers and staff on protocols.
