Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Senior Medical Technologist to support patient care, education, and research in an on-site role. Qualifications

• ASCP MT/MLS certification or equivalent required.
• State licensure or eligibility for clinical laboratory technologist.
• Strong knowledge of CAP/CLIA standards.
• Experience with automated analyzers and LIS.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and validate complex diagnostic laboratory testing to support patient care and education.
• Oversee daily lab operations, including quality control, calibration, and maintenance of instruments.
• Review and validate test data; troubleshoot issues to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Train, mentor, and guide technologists, students, and residents in procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to support trials and program improvements.
• Maintain documentation per CAP/CLIA and institutional policies; participate in audits.
