Job summary
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC invites applications for a Laboratory Technologist II to support a high-complexity molecular laboratory focused on ctDNA-based assays. You will work under the PI and lab supervisor, performing experiments, data analyses, and maintaining rigorous documentation to ensure scientific integrity.
Qualified candidates have a BS in a related field, 2+ years in a clinical or research lab, and experience with NGS/ddPCR and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related medical or scientific field with relevant lab experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of lab experience in a clinical or research setting.
- Experience with NGS, ddPCR, and liquid handling/automation platforms preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out molecular experiments for ctDNA assay development and analyze ddPCR data.
- Perform specialized molecular procedures for assay development, optimization, and validation.
- Document all research activities in ELN notebooks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Generate reports to evaluate project progress and performance.
- Assist with purchasing and inventory management of supplies and reagents.
