Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MSA practices and KSAs for current MSA responsibilities or equivalent administrative patient support role.
• Quality of experience must be at or above the next lower grade level with independence and complexity.
• Part-time experience as an MSA in a non-VA setting is creditable based on time worked.
• Grandfathering Provision may apply for current VHA employees in this occupation.
• One year of GS-5 level experience is required for GS-6.
• Demonstrated KSAs: collaboration with clinicians, priority setting, effective communication, care delivery processes, care in the community, medical terminology and related policies.
