Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Englewood Office to perform automated and manual testing, process specimens, and report results following policy.

You will handle quality control, instrument maintenance, record results in the LIS, and assist training of team members. Florida MLT license and national certification are required, with at least one year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; A.A./A.S. degree required
• Florida MLT license required
• National Laboratory Certification required
• BLS certification preferred

Aufgaben

• Responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, quality assurance, analyzer maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Perform manual and automated testing in accordance with established guidelines.
• Record lab results in the electronic laboratory information system.
• Process and prepare specimens for transport.
• Operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry baths, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, clean lab equipment and work surfaces, maintain laboratory logs, and perform proficiency testing.
• Stock and order lab supplies, as needed.
