Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform automated and manual testing, process specimens, and report results per established policies. You will assist with quality control, instrument maintenance, and training team members.

The role requires a Florida MLT license, national certification, and CEUs, with potential to work at various FCS locations. Overtime may be necessary to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required across all positions at FCS.
• A.A./A.S. degree required.
• State of Florida Medical Laboratory Technician license required.
• National Laboratory Certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and quality control per guidelines.
• Record results in electronic LIS and keep logs.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Stock and order lab supplies as needed.
• Train new staff and ensure safety and compliance.
