Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform automated and manual testing, specimen processing, and reporting results according to established policies. You will participate in QA/QC, calibration, and training of team members across locations.

The role requires maintaining equipment, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent across all positions.
• A.A./A.S. degree required.
• State license and national certification required; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated laboratory testing.
• Process and prepare specimens for transport.
• Record results in the electronic lab information system.
• Operate centrifuges, dry baths, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Perform routine QA/QC and proficiency testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safety and cleanliness.
