Atrius Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support one or more clinicians across departments in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment. You will help manage patient flow, scheduling, and clinical documentation to ensure timely care and high-quality service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a higher degree of technical expertise than Medical Assistant I and serves as role model to MA I's.
• Manages patient flow, access and scheduling for clinicians to optimize appointment availability.
• Manages clinicians' daily schedule to expedite care and maximize clinical time.
• Coordinates the practice when clinicians are unavailable and ensures calls are answered with necessary information.
• Sorts and reviews clinician mail and screens MyHealth messages.
• Monitors practice issues and resolves concerns about patient satisfaction, flow, and compliance.
• Identifies and assists in resolving patient concerns and operational difficulties and informs supervisor of outstanding issues.
• Handles patient and third party requests for documentation of medical information.
• Completes forms for visits and submits to MD for review and may review patient records for missing information.
• May serve as departmental float rotating among departments and learning multiple areas.
• Participates in care improvement activities like RIEs, VSAs, and MDIs.
• Trains and orients new staff and may participate in interviewing and onboarding.
