Job summary

Talentify's client, an Acute Care Medical Facility, is seeking a Medical Assistant II for their Liberty Township, OH location. The successful candidate will support physicians, manage patient flow, and document vital signs and medical histories in the EMR.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, pre-certifications, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and coordinating care with external facilities. Strong computer skills and MA certification are essential; travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Associate degree preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Maintains patient flow and documents review of systems, vitals, and medical history in EMR.
• Prepares patient charts in EMR for visits, scans and reviews to ensure complete records.
• Refills medications and pre-authorizes as needed; coordinates with patient and pharmacy.
• Obtains medical information from patients to support clinical decision making; manages MyChart communications.
• Operates EKG and other equipment; administers vaccinations and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Maintains a safe, confidential, compliant clinical environment.
