Job summary

GE Aerospace in Auburn, Alabama seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Technician to troubleshoot manufacturing processes, lead issue resolution with engineers and operators, and help develop new processes and improvements.

You will resolve technical issues, maintain SOPs, train staff, perform machine and process qualifications, and collaborate with vendors to ensure safety, quality and cost efficiency in a high-demand production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or HS diploma with at least 4 years of technical experience.
• Experience with machine PLC/control systems.
• Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in resolving manufacturing technical issues through root cause problem solving and implementing permanent corrective action.
• Bridge between Manufacturing associates and Process Engineers to provide advanced problem-solving capabilities to production.
• Serve as primary line of defense when process and machine issues arise in the shop.
• Build and maintain process SOPs; train and sign off individuals in production processes.
• Perform machine and process qualifications; work with engineering drawings and specifications.
