Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Technical Training & Documentation Specialist in Los Angeles to independently capture, develop, and standardize technical knowledge across advanced manufacturing. You will own complex documentation tasks, mentor peers, and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations leaders to create scalable training materials.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical writing, manufacturing documentation, technical training or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of technical documentation in manufacturing/engineering.
• Ability to convert complex information into clear documentation.
• Experience with SOPs, work instructions, process specs and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process specs, and training materials.
• Translate complex manufacturing processes into clear documentation with limited direction.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, programmers, and other SMEs to capture knowledge.
• Spend time on the floor observing processes to ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Create training content for the Advanced Manufacturing Academy, including modules and assessments.
• Convert tribal knowledge into standardized, reusable content and address documentation gaps.
• Lead documentation/training projects and pilots from problem to implementation.
• Support new equipment/process introductions with appropriate documentation for handoff.
• Maintain revision control, approvals, and traceability with cross‑functional teams.
• Create visual/multimedia content to simplify technical concepts.
• Mentor peers and contribute to scalable knowledge management practices.
