Divergent in Los Angeles leads advanced automation for aerospace, automotive, and defense programs. The Automation Engineer role focuses on implementing robotics, simulation, and data-driven process improvements in a fast-paced production environment.

You will develop and optimize robotic programs, support day-to-day operations, and mentor teammates while ensuring safety and reliability of high-precision hardware on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a Mechanical Engineering degree or have 6+ years of related manufacturing experience.
• Proven Robotic Simulation experience for industrial systems or hands-on robot programming (Kuka/ABB/FANUC/Yaskawa).
• Strong CAD and simulation tool proficiency; ability to work cross-functionally with teams.

Responsabilités

• Create simulation studies and maintain manufacturing data for automated work centers.
• Develop and verify robotic sequences, reach studies, and interference-free motions.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and document procedures for training.
