Job summary

Republic Services in Pleasant Grove, UT is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, steering, brakes and HVAC systems. You will diagnose complex issues and perform on-site maintenance to keep vehicles running on routes.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Perform inspections and repairs on heavy-duty trucks with limited supervision.
• Experience working on diesel engines and related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair/maintenance functions on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and hydraulic/electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Fuel systems diagnostics and repair.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems and regen diagnostics.
• Electrical diagnostics with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete required company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
