Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a skilled Mechanic Journeyman responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment. The role requires standing for 8 hours and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

PLC experience is preferred, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance and ensuring safe operation of production systems. The starting pay rate is $41.47 per hour, with future increases governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card.
• Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems such as electrical, gas, air, and water systems.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment including material handling equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and production equipment.
• Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance responsibilities on equipment.
• Comply with all company maintenance programs and practices.
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems.
