Job summary

The Electromechanic Journeyman at Ardagh Group is responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance of process and general facility equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient production and requires strong problem-solving skills and adherence to safety standards.

Starting pay is $36.49 per hour, with increases governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position involves hands-on maintenance, reading blueprints, and collaborating with engineering and production teams in our

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years in production manufacturing environment preferred.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic safety procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance on production-related equipment.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems.
• Communicate with Plant Engineering Manager and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and install mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Install control and distribution apparatus and connect power cables.
