Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Hawthorne, NV is seeking a Procurement & Subcontract Specialist to lead front-end strategic assessments, negotiate with suppliers, and manage the full subcontract lifecycle for complex government and commercial programs. Qualifications

• Knowledge of acquisition requirements for Government contracts (CPSR, ISO 9001, S-OX, ITAR & EAR).
• Ability to interpret and apply FAR/DFAR in Subcontracts and POs.

Responsibilities

• Leads procurement/subcontract strategies and plans to support program schedule and estimates.
• Manages full procurement/subcontract lifecycle: RFQs, bids, bid evaluation, POs, change orders, subcontract closeout.
• Negotiates with suppliers/subcontractors and manages risk and supplier relationships.
• Maintains program status reports with RFQs, supplier data, delivery dates and deliverables.
• Communicates with Supply Chain Management and Program Management to mitigate schedule impacts.
