Job summary

Honeywell is seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer for Sundyne rotating equipment and control systems based in Arvada, Colorado. You will deliver expert technical service, support customers, and lead troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning activities on complex machinery.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in field service with 4+ years on rotating equipment, strong PLC/HMI and diagnostics skills, and a proven safety-compliance track record.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of proven field service engineering experience, including at least 4+ years focused on rotating equipment and control systems (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines), preferably Sundyne products.
  • Strong technical expertise in rotating machinery, with hands-on experience supporting over 100 field service interventions involving troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning activities.
  • Proficiency with control systems hardware and software related to rotating equipment, including diagnostics, calibration tools, PLC/HMI troubleshooting, and VFD systems with 3+ years of applied use.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations (API, OSHA, ISO) with 100% compliance experience in field service operations and safety-critical environments.

Advanced Field Service Engineer – Turbo Machinery – Rotating Equipment / Controls (Sundyne Products)

As an advanced field service engineer for Sundyne rotating equipment and control systems at Honeywell, you will deliver expert technical service and support to customers, empowering them to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex machinery and control solutions in demanding industrial environments.

You will report directly to our Field Service Supervisor and work out of our Arvada, Colorado location.

We Value
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, chemical processing, or power generation, supporting large‑scale rotating equipment systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills demonstrated through participation in 10+ root cause failure analyses (RCFA) or structured troubleshooting events.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic field environments, successfully managing 3–5 concurrent field assignments or projects.
  • Familiarity with digital diagnostic tools and software platforms used in rotating equipment maintenance and control systems, with 2+ years of hands‑on use in predictive maintenance or condition monitoring systems.
Compensation

Annual base salary range: $87,200 – $109,100.
