Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Arvada, Colorado, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the Controls Engineering Team. The role covers electrical and instrumentation on pump and compressor orders installed globally, with emphasis on NEC/IEC/UL standards and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of NFPA70(NEC), IEC, IECEx, ATEX, CSA, ISA and UL standards.
  • Understanding of basic P&ID diagrams.
  • Capable of configuration and specification of electrical systems and instrumentation for hazardous areas.
  • Ability to focus on details and meet project schedules.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer I here at Honeywell, The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers will join the Controls Engineering Team. The E & I Engineer will be responsible for all electrical and instrumentation on our pump and compressor production orders. These engineered-to-order systems are installed in refineries, petrochemical plants, and power stations throughout the world. you'll report directly to Sr Electrical Eng Manager.

This position is based in Arvada, Colorado, USA

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs basic instrumentation and control system engineering tasks and calculations with minimal direction and supervision
  • Performs specification research
  • Assists in development of technical documents
  • Assists in the development of P&ID's and associated I/O
  • Design of Junction boxes and control panels
  • Develop PLC programs, HMI configurations, control system design and control system networks

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
