Job summary

Summa Health Medical Group in Akron, Ohio seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute. The role offers complex epilepsy care across clinic, inpatient/EMU, and collaborates with neurosurgery, neurocritical care and stroke services.

Academic appointment with NEOMED is available; opportunities for research, teaching, and program development are encouraged. Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology with an Epilepsy fellowship is required.

Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
Interest in complex epilepsy management and advanced epilepsy care.
Current Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
Interest in clinical innovation and advancement of epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

Provide 100% epilepsy-focused care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
Collaborate with neurosurgical partners and other neuroscience services.
Engage in teaching, lectures, and resident education; contribute to research and program development.
Support and participate in development and evolution of the epilepsy program within the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute.
