Summa Health Medical Group in Akron, Ohio seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Neurosciences Institute. The role offers complex epilepsy care across clinic, inpatient/EMU, and collaborates with neurosurgery, neurocritical care and stroke services.

Academic appointment with NEOMED is available; opportunities for research, teaching, and program development are encouraged. Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology with an Epilepsy fellowship is required.

• Support and participate in development and evolution of the epilepsy program within the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute.

Summa Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. This is an exceptional opportunity to help advance a comprehensive epilepsy program within a health system that is invested in technology, innovation, advanced diagnostics, and surgical intervention for the treatment of epilepsy. The epilepsy program benefits from collaboration across neurology, neurocritical care, neurohospitalist and stroke services, as well as partnerships extending into pediatric and surgical care.

Candidate Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Completion of a Epilepsy fellowship
• Preference for an experienced epilepsy physician with a demonstrated interest in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio or ability to obtain an Ohio medical license
• Interest in participating in teaching, lectures and resident education
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care
• Interest in clinical innovation, technology and the continued advancement of epilepsy treatment
