Job summary

Duke Energy in Kentucky is seeking a Line Apprentice 3 or Line Apprentice 4 to learn and support the distribution system, with on-call duties and 24/7 readiness during outages or emergencies. You will progress through training modules while contributing to safe operations.

Eligible candidates have a High School diploma, a valid Class A CDL, and experience as a climber. You will join a team focused on safety, reliability, and customer service as you advance through required assessments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Experience as a line worker or apprentice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction and maintenance of the distribution system.
• Understand overhead and underground insulation principles.
• Promote safety practices to prevent accidents.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Coordinate work through positive working relationships.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
