Job summary

Keystone Human Services is seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Guilford, CT. We provide individualized, person-directed support for adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and autism, promoting inclusion and community participation.

You will help create a healthy home environment, teach daily living skills, assist with personal care, and advocate for health and wellness.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year experience supporting individuals with medical needs or behaviors or dual diagnosis.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Complete required certifications and training mandated by regulations.
Valid driver’s license; daily access to a vehicle may be required.
Successful completion of pre-employment process with required clearances.

Responsibilities

Support adults by creating a healthy, engaging home setting and teaching daily living skills.
Assist with personal care and advocate for health and wellness.
May administer medications and perform delegated nursing tasks under supervision.
Respond to emergencies following protocols and behavior support plans.
Provide support to individuals with high needs as defined by assessments.
