Job summary

Keystone Human Services seeks Advanced Direct Support Professionals to provide person-directed support for adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and autism. You will assist with daily living skills, personal care, and creating a safe, engaging home environment to promote independence and inclusion.

Role may involve administering medications and following behavior support plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year work experience supporting individuals with either challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health.
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
• Successful completion of required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical/behavioral trainings.
• Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Support adults by creating a healthy and engaging home setting.
• Teach and assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Advocate for health and wellness of the people we support.
• Monitor health conditions under supervision and respond to emergencies following protocols.
