Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Evansville, IN is seeking an experienced Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet. You’ll diagnose, repair, and log work while mentoring others and learning Penske’s maintenance processes.

Qualifications

6 years of experience maintaining trucks and tractor-trailers.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
Experience diagnosing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and OEM training.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner.
Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
Keeping your work area clean and safe.
Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training.
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
