Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an Advanced Composites Technician in Mountain View, CA. You will manufacture composite components, perform complex lay-ups, and apply vacuum bagging to ensure high-quality parts per engineering drawings and CMIs.

The role requires 4 years of lay-up/bonding experience, ability to read specs, and proficiency with Creo/AutoCAD. US citizenship or green card is required; the position is on-site in California with a comprehensive benefits package.

## Advanced Composites TechnicianApply: Mountain View, CA: Full time: Posted Today: R24244## Please review the job details below.Lanteris Space is currently seeking an Advanced Composites Technician who is highly motivated and dedicated to join our Composites Technology team in Mountain View, CA location.In this role, you will manufacture Composite Components and Assemblies for internal and external customers.**Responsibilities**•Perform complicated lay-ups, including lay-ups requiring complex tooling.•Utilize special techniques of working material to eliminate wrinkles and achieve tight compacted lay-ups.•Utilize complex vacuum bagging techniques to help achieve a better quality part, including vacuum bagging using pleats to insure minimal bridging and tight radius’s lay-ups, as well as vacuum bagging with minimum bag and/or support material wrinkles for a better part appearance.•Utilize Photogrammetry, Theodolites, Laser projectors and applicable software for contour, lay up on tool, characterization, and fixture alignment.• Assembly & bond Composite components per engineering drawings, specifications & procedures.•Utilize complicated blueprints, Creo, AutoCAD, generate template for layup production.•Assist and teach less-experienced employees.**Minimum Requirements**•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.•High school diploma/GED equivalent•4 years of experience in lay-up and bonding•Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and Composite Manufacturing Instructions (CMI’s).•Knowledge of standard shop measurement tools such as scales, dial calipers and micrometers.•Experienced in the use of equipment such as hand drills, drill presses, band saws and grinders.•Knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems.In support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings.
