Job summary

Precinmac in Maine seeks a CNC Machinist to operate 3/4/5‑axis mills and mill‑turns, set up machines, prove programs, adjust offsets, and edit for quality. You’ll read GD&T drawings and inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and indicators while working with engineers, maintenance, and quality.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and machining training or 2+ years CNC experience; 4‑axis mill or mill‑turn experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with machining training or 2+ years CNC experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T, blueprints, and precision measurement tools.
• Experience with 4‑axis horizontal mills and/or lathe/mill‑turn equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3/4/5‑axis mills and mill‑turns.
• Set up machines, load parts, prove programs, adjust offsets and edits.
• Read complex GD&T drawings and ensure tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and indicators; document results.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance and quality to maintain production flow.
