Job summary

Precinmac in South Paris, Maine is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our growing precision manufacturing team. You will set up and adjust parts, verify tolerances, read drawings with GD&T, and help keep high‑precision production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CNC machining experience, proficiency in 4‑axis milling and lathe/mill‑turn, and a solid understanding of measurement tools and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2-year degree in Precision Machining or 2+ years CNC machining experience in high-precision environments.
• Experience machining medium to high-complexity parts and reading engineering drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Setup and adjustments: load parts, set offsets, prove programs, deburr and inspect.
• Blueprint interpretation: read drawings and tolerances to determine machining sequences.
• Inspection and measurement: use calipers, micrometers, indicators and CMM data to verify accuracy.
• Troubleshooting: identify out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machines or tooling as needed.
• Collaboration: work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Maintenance: keep equipment clean, organized, and running efficiently.
