Job summary

Precinmac is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the weekend day shift in South Paris, Maine. You will operate lathes and 3, 4, and 5‑axis mills, set up parts, and verify tolerances through inspection and measurement.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus a 2-year Precision Machining degree or equivalent CNC experience. You’ll join a team focused on precision, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have strong CNC operation experience and the ability to read drawings.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerances.
• Proficient use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Ability to follow written and verbal English instructions.

Responsibilities

• CNC Operation - Run CNC lathes, millturns, and 3, 4, and 5axis mills to produce parts.
• Setup & Adjustments - Load parts, set offsets, prove programs, perform edits, deburr, inspect.
• Blueprint Interpretation - Read drawings, GD&T, manuals, and specifications to determine tolerances and machining sequences.
• Inspection & Measurement - Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and CMM data to verify accuracy.
• Troubleshooting - Identify malfunctions, out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machines or tooling as needed.
• Collaboration - Work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintenance - Keep equipment clean, organized, and running efficiently.
• Compliance - Follow AS9100, safety regulations, and company policies.
