Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation’s McNeilus division is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate a variety of CNC machines including laser, plasma, shear, rolling, press brakes, milling centers, saws, and punches. You will read drawings, ensure tolerances, and contribute to a safe, efficient production environment.

The role requires basic math, problem solving, and the ability to train new hires while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Reads drawings or prints to ensure parts are produced within tolerance.
• Interprets work instructions and prints to perform tasks safely and accurately.
• Reads and understands fabrication tools and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (laser, plasma, shear, milling, punch) per production needs.
• Read drawings to ensure tolerances using calipers, protractors, etc.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Use basic hand tools and lifting devices; handle weights up to 10,000 lbs.
• Train new hires and cross-train team members with minimal defects.
