Job summary

Mercy seeks a Primary Care Patient Care Advanced MA to work with Mercy Primary Care Providers, delivering safe, timely, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will partner with patients and clinicians to drive quality outcomes leveraging standard workflows and Mercy service standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA program completion, BLS certification, and completion of MA competencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete MA Clinic Academy training.
• Must have completed MA competencies.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, effective and patient-centered care in outpatient surgery.
• Collaborate with Mercy Primary Care Providers to drive quality outcomes.
• Performs rooming, medication reconciliation, and patient education with 90%+ accuracy.
• Document thoroughly in the EHR and maintain patient encounter notes.
• Contribute to closing care gaps and engage in patient experience conversations.
